Both Parties Take Money From the Same Billionaires

Follow the money. That's what they always say. And when you do, you find something ugly: the same billionaires funding both sides of the political aisle.

The donor class does not care about red or blue. It cares about access, contracts, tax treatment, regulatory favors, and a government machine that keeps the right people protected.

The Republican Party will tell you it is the party of business. Democrats will tell you they fight for the little guy. But when campaign money starts moving, the slogans get real quiet.

The illusion of choice keeps us fighting each other while the real power structure laughs all the way to the bank. It is time we stopped playing their game.
