Both Parties Take Money From the Same Billionaires

Follow the money. That's what they always say. And when you do, you find something ugly: the same billionaires funding both sides of the political aisle.

Look at the top donors to federal campaigns. You'll see names like Soros, Koch, Adelson, and others. They don't care about red or blue. They care about access. And both parties are happy to give it to them.

The Republican Party will tell you they're the party of business. The Democrats will tell you they fight for the little guy. But when it comes to who actually funds their campaigns, it's the same pool of wealthy elites with the same ultimate goal: maintaining the system that made them rich.

The illusion of choice keeps us fighting each other while the real power structure laughs all the way to the bank. It's time we stopped playing their game.
